Vermont VERTANIUM CNC AERO Spiral Point Taps were developed to tap heat resisting stainless steel alloys, for example 17-4PH, A286 and other soft nickel based exotic materials such as Hastelloy, Inconel, Waspoloy, and Incoloy. The unique spiral point geometry is designed to freely tap these difficult to machine Aerospace materials with minimal contact between work material and tool. With CNC equipment in mind, Vermont closely controls tap dimensions for fast, repeatable tap changes. VERTANIUM CNC AREO taps are recommended for exotic materials 275 BHN or less.
